Sometimes it is quite obvious if you are sensitive or allergic to a particular food of group of foods because a reaction occurs soon after it is consumed. Other times, nagging symptoms including headaches, chronic joint pain, hormonal imbalances, digestive dysfunction, acne and eczema, etc. may point to the likelihood of a food allergy. If deemed the right course of action, we utilize specific blood tests as a means to identify food allergens and create a dietary/eating plan based on those results.

NET is a mind-body technique that finds and removes neurological imbalances related to the physiology of unresolved stress. The body holds emotions one has experienced across the life span. The subconscious mind remembers these experiences, including the negative and traumatic ones. At any time, these emotions can be triggered and translate to physical or emotional pain. NET practitioners can help patients address headaches, body pain, anxiety, phobias, organ dysfunctions and more. NET does not “cure” the patient, but rather removes blocks to the body, allowing the body to heal itself naturally.

Saliva testing is used for measuring hormones including cortisol, estrogen and testosterone. We utilize a non-invasive sampling method which allows patients to collect saliva at home at specific times, which is important for accurately measuring hormone levels.

Why do we test hormones in saliva? Steroid hormones in the bloodstream are 95-99% bound to carrier proteins, and in this form are unavailable to target tissues. In contrast, saliva testing measures the amount of hormone available to target tissues – the bioavailable amount. For this reason, saliva testing better relates to specific symptoms of excess or deficiency, and is a good option for monitoring hormone therapy.
